Beyond the Bell AFRICA runs after school programmes focused on improving children wellbeing during out of school breaks. Focused on engaging children in programmes tailored to meet their academic and social needs through various clubs and programmes. Hosted at La Vita School, Kisumu with the support of CBE trained teachers and essential facilities to promote safety and improved learning experience.

Naomi (12) lives with her blind grandmother in the remote parts of Kisumu, KE. She desires to be a teacher in future but she has to stay home to care for her grandmother during school. Naomi would like to take the opportunity to attend Beyond the Bell, AFRICA holiday programs to learn how to read and write and hopes that one day she can achieve her dreams.
Desmond (14), dropped out of school when his father died and his mother left him for another family. Living with kin as his primary caregiver who prioritizes his own children education. Desmond desires to use the opportunity provided by Beyond the Bell, AFRICA to learn languages and sciences and hope that one day a well-wisher can pay his school fees to return to school so he can be a mechanic.
Eunice (32), a trained teacher living in Nyahera area in Kisumu, KE. A trained teacher who has five children wishes to volunteer her time in teaching children Math and Kiswahili. She says her own children will benefit greatly from holiday program that promotes academic excellence. Beyond the Bell, AFRICA engages teachers like Eunice in moulding and shaping other children academically beyond the classroom.
Daniel (49), a parent. Working menial jobs to feed his nine children in the rural parts of Dago, Kisumu KE. Says he can not afford school fees for all his children and would like to enrol five of his children to Beyond the Bell, AFRICA to learn how to read and write. He says that he values education because without it, his children will experience poverty and will be isolated from opportunities accessible to those who got education.
Christine (54), a grandmother to twin girls aged 8. Recommends that the opportunity offered at Beyond the Bell, AFRICA school holiday program is unique. Children are addicted to smartphones and are losing their social lives and creativity for outdoor activities.
